Restore Britain · Blackpool South Branch

Blackpool South Deserves Better.

The national parties have failed our streets. From South Shore to Stanley Park, we exist to put local people, local jobs and local pride first.

Our Mission

Why Restore Britain Blackpool South?

Restore Britain Blackpool South Branch has been created to give the south side of our town a strong, independent voice at a time when that voice is being taken away from us.

For too long, decisions about Blackpool have been made by people who don’t understand our town. Look around the streets between South Shore and Marton, look at the boarded-up shopfronts on Bond Street, look at the state of parts of the Promenade — it shows. Party politics has failed us. National politicians more concerned with Westminster than with what is happening on our streets, in our neighbourhoods, in our schools.

We deserve better.

With ongoing plans to reorganise local councils and centralise power across Lancashire, there is a real danger that Blackpool will be pushed to the sidelines, again — another forgotten seaside town left to cope with declining services, low investment, and poor representation. Power and control focused in places that simply don’t care about Brunswick, Marton, Waterloo or Squires Gate.

We believe local people should have the loudest say in shaping our town’s future. Let’s put local Blackpool men and women into the council to make sure our voice is heard. Not the priorities of Westminster or Preston, but Blackpool South’s.

The South Branch exists to:

“Look at what national party politics has achieved for Blackpool — just look around. It has failed our community. It is time for something entirely new, something focused on doing what is right for Blackpool.” — Restore Britain Blackpool South Branch

Our Principles

What We Stand For

Four principles, one focus: Blackpool South first.

1

Local Decisions

Decisions about our wards should be made by people who live in them — not by officials in Preston or Westminster.

2

Real Investment

Bring tourism revenue, regeneration funds and skilled jobs back to Blackpool South where they belong.

3

Safer Streets

Demand visible policing, action on anti-social behaviour, and a town centre our families are proud of.

4

Pride and Place

Restore the Promenade. Honour our heritage. Celebrate what makes Blackpool one of Britain’s great towns.
