Why Restore Britain Blackpool South?

We have one job. Fight for this town.

For decades, decisions about Blackpool have been made by people who never walk our streets.

Look around. It shows.

Boarded-up units on Bond Street. Potholes nobody fills. Streets nobody cleans. Family homes carved into bedsits. A town centre that decent people avoid after dark.

We deserve better.

Now they want to redraw local government across Lancashire. Bigger councils. Decisions taken further from the streets they affect.

Blackpool runs its own affairs today. Merge us into something bigger and we become one voice among many.

We have seen this film before. Blackpool loses.

Party politics has failed this town. Councillors more interested in their next promotion than the street they were elected to serve. National politicians who remember Blackpool exists once every five years, when they want something.

Enough.

Local people should have the loudest say in this town’s future. Not Westminster. Not a bigger council somewhere down the road. Blackpool.

What we stand for

We are a new branch. No councillors yet. No glossy manifesto. But we know what we believe.

• The basics come first. Bins emptied. Potholes filled. Streets cleaned. Get the boring things right before anything else.
• Keep Blackpool’s money in Blackpool. Tourism revenue, regeneration funding, investment. Earned here, spent here.
• Back visible policing. Officers on the Prom and in our neighbourhoods. A town centre where women can walk home without looking over their shoulder.
• Defend this town’s name. The Prom. The Tower. The Illuminations. Blackpool invented the British seaside holiday. Time we acted like it.
• Cut the nonsense. Low tax, low interference, low hassle. Fewer consultants and glossy strategies. More bins emptied and more roads fixed.
• Back the people who take a risk. This town runs on hospitality. Strip back the licensing nonsense and the endless permits that make running a pub, a café or a guesthouse harder than it needs to be.
