Why Restore Britain Blackpool North & Fleetwood?

Restore Britain Blackpool North & Fleetwood Branch has been created to give the north side of our town a strong, independent voice at a time when that voice is being taken away from us.

For too long, decisions about Blackpool and Fleetwood have been made by people who don’t understand our towns. Look around Red Bank Road in Bispham, look at the state of the Lord Street area in Fleetwood, look at what has happened to the once-proud Fisherman’s Walk — it shows. Party politics has failed us. National politicians more concerned with Westminster than with what is happening on our streets, in our neighbourhoods, in our schools.

We deserve better.

With ongoing plans to reorganise local councils and centralise power across Lancashire, there is a real danger that the north of Blackpool and Fleetwood will be pushed to the sidelines, again — forgotten coastal communities left to cope with declining services, low investment, and poor representation. Power and control focused in places that simply don’t care about Bispham, Anchorsholme, Norbreck or Fleetwood.

We believe local people should have the loudest say in shaping our towns’ future. Let’s put local Blackpool and Fleetwood men and women into the council chambers to make sure our voice is heard. Not the priorities of Westminster, Preston or Poulton — but Blackpool North & Fleetwood’s.

The North & Fleetwood Branch exists to:

• Put residents before bureaucracy — ensuring any future council structure protects local decision-making in the north wards and Fleetwood.
• Defend local jobs and services — fighting to keep investment, tourism revenue and regeneration funding here in our town, not somewhere else.
• Stand up for pride and place — celebrating our heritage, our patriotism, our country and our community spirit.
• Fight for Blackpool North & Fleetwood — no petty party politics, just local people battling for local services and local investment.
